How to use this pack
Drone permissions in India involve more than one authority, and each has its own lead time. Missing one usually means the survey is cancelled at the gate. Work through the reference table first to identify which permissions your site needs, assemble the documents, then use the status tracker to follow each application to approval.
Start at least three to four weeks before the planned survey date. ASI NOCs and state coordination are the slowest steps; DGCA Digital Sky airspace clearance for Green zones is near-instant, but Yellow zones need advance permission.
1 · Which permissions apply to your site
| Authority | When it is required | Typical lead time |
|---|---|---|
| DGCA Digital Sky | All drones above 250g — UIN and airspace clearance | Green zone: instant · Yellow: days |
| ASI Circle Office (NOC) | Flying over or near a centrally protected monument | 2–4 weeks |
| State Dept. of Archaeology | State-protected monuments | 1–3 weeks |
| HR&CE / temple trust | Living temples under HR&CE administration | Days–weeks |
| District police / SP | Intimation, advisable for Yellow zones and crowded sites | Days |
| Airports Authority / MoD | Within controlled or restricted airspace | Weeks |
